NOTES

  1. Volunteering is free … but our registration software requires a “fee” field, so you will see a fee of “0.00”
  2. The software accepts volunteers one-by-one. Repeat all the steps for each person you’re registering. Follow the steps until you have clicked the “Confirm Registration” button and see the sentence on the next screen that says “Your information has been┬áreceived.” Write down what shift(s) you signed up for.
  3. No vacant spots for your favorite shift? Check back later. Spaces may open up if we get cancellations.

NOTIFICATION
If you need to cancel your shift, please email volunteer@christmas-house.org or call 425-338-2273 to let us know. We need to be fully staffed with volunteers in order to keep things running smoothly.

TRAINING
Please plan to arrive right on time – especially if you’re helping at a shift when we’re open to shoppers. We hold a training at the beginning of each shift and everyone must complete this training before volunteering, even if you’ve helped in previous years.

POLICIES
Please remember that children under 16 are not allowed at Christmas House, and student groups need one adult/parent/teacher volunteering in their group for every 5 students. All groups are also limited to a maximum of 25 members for any one shift. Volunteers must complete an entire shift when working while the “store” is open (no splitting shifts).

FOOD
We will be providing a light meal and beverages during “move-in Saturday” and “store” shifts. If you know of any restaurant or caterer that might be interested in helping provide a lunch for 60-70 people, please let us know.

LOCATION
Christmas House is located at 2316-12th Street in north Everett at the Everett Boys & Girls Club gym. Please lock purses and valuables out of sight in your car.
